Why wash your hands for 20 seconds? Not only does it give you time to thoroughly scrub both hands, but that's the time it takes soap to kill SARS-CoV-2. Yes, soap kills the virus that causes COVID-19, along with a whole bunch of other nasty germs! Click the link below to find out how.

The Right Way to Wash Your Hands

Wet your hands well under clean, running water. (Remember to turn off the tap so you don't waste water.) Now add a generous pump of soap to your palm.

Lather up for 20 Seconds

Now spend a good 20 seconds enthusiastically rubbing your hands together. This loosens any dirt or germs that may be on your skin. Wash front and back, from fingertips to forearms. Don't forget to scrub under your nails.

Rinse and Dry Well

Rinse your hands well under clean running water to wash the dirt and germs down the drain. Dry your hands well (germs like a moist environment). That's it, your hands are squeaky clean!
